Lion baseball awarded All-District honors

The Lockhart Lion”s varsity baseball coach, Randy Schaefer, announced that Wes Selman and Michael Wright were selected to the First-Team of the 26-4A All District Team in baseball.
Selman and Wright led the team in hitting and offense. Wright, named First-Team outfielder, finished with a .508 batting average for the season, which was among the leaders for All-District

and Central Texas players.
Selman, a senior at Lockhart H.S., was named First-Team utility and maintained a batting average of .373.
Also mentioned for the All-District selections were sophomore Michael Schulle for Second-Team pitcher, senior Clay Ohlendorf for Second-Team first baseman, senior Andrew Capello for Second-Team second baseman, senior Justin Garcia for Second-Team outfield, and Dennis Ortiz for Honorable Mention.
Making Academic All-District was Zach Alfier, Edward Fernandez, Justin Garcia, Clay Ohlendorf, Wes Selman, Michael Schulle and Michael Wright.
