Lions conclude golf season

The Lockhart Lions had a tough go at this year’s District Tournament. The competition was hosted at Forest Creek Golf Course in Round Rock, Monday, March 27-30.

The LHS Boys team led things off on Monday and Tuesday with rounds of 402 and 401, respectively. The Lions were led by senior Ethan Barnett posting a two-day total of 186 (90-96). Alejandra Osuna’s 221(105-116) paced the Lady Lions.

This spring Lockhart said goodbye to senior golfers Ethan Barnett, Roman Estrada, Hunter Dunn, Blane Scott, and Jonathan Cormier. Barnett will continue his competitive play at the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico. Estrada has earned an academic scholarship to The University of Texas San Antonio.
