Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Lockhart Independent School District for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
“The Lockhart ISD Business Office sets an unmatched standard of distinction,” Superintendent Mark Estrada said. “LISD has one of the most awarded and respected financial departments in Central Texas because of the hard work of our Business Office. Their diligent work and commitment to financial transparency keep our district Locked On Excellence.”
Chief Financial Officer Nicole Weiser added, “The Business Office is proud to serve the Lockhart community, our families, and our students,”. “Receiving the highest form of recognition for governmental accounting from the GFOA is an honor, and I’m so proud of our team.”
