Lois Atkisson, 83, died Dec. 2, 2005 in Ft. Worth, after a long valiant battle with leukemia. Her funeral was Jan. 3 in Greenwood Chapel, with burial in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Lois was born April 22, 1922 in Glenfora, Texas to John Franklin Williams and Rachel Holmes Williams, Caldwell County natives. Her paternal grandparents were John Harrison Williams and Dollie

Dorinda White Williams, and her paternal great grandparents were Isaac Williams and Frances Franks Williams, early settlers in the Tilmon area. Her maternal grandparents were Cage Wilkerson Holmes and Texanna Taylor Holmes, also early Tilmon residents. After the death of her father, she and her sister Alma Ozena lived in Lockhart with their aunt Miss Lillie Williams for several years and attended school. Mrs. Atkisson was a federal employee, a member of Springdale Baptist Church and Tops. She was a loving wife of 30 years to Leo A. Atkisson at the time of his death, and was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who will be dearly missed by family, friends, and her pets. Her husband, parents, and brothers preceded Lois in death: Harvey S. Williams, Elmer Williams, and Dibrel Williams. Also her sisters; Alma O. Peoples, and Hazel Seber. Great granddaughter, Dorenda Berez, also predeceased her. Survivors are daughter, Alma Ozena Perez, grandson, Andy Perez; granddaughters, Diana D., and C.R. Perez; great-grandson, Jesse Joseph Banda, and many other dear nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends, as well as her brother, Derwood H. Williams.
