Marcos Zapata

Mr. Marcos Zapata was born Jan. 7, 1924, to Jose Zapata and Martha Villarreal. He passed away on Aug. 17, 2012.

He is survived by his daughters, Janie Arredondo (Joe), Belia Fuentes (Bacilio) and Nancy Medina; sons, Leandro Zapata, Ruben Zapata (Maria) and Armando Zapata; stepchildren, Cindy Zapata and Daniel Zapata; 25 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-gre

at-grandchildren.

Recitation of the rosary was held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in San Pablo Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Domingo Medina, Jr., Joey Arredondo, Adam Zapata, Paul Zapata, Ignacio Torres, Jr., and Robert Gonzales.

Services were under the direction of Samuel J. DeLeon and Son/DeLeon Funeral Home 110 Cedar St. Lockhart, Texas, 78644.
