Maroon team takes win

The eighth-grade Maroon team came away with a victory last week against the Hays-Dahlstrom Mustangs, 14-0.
Running back Albert Garcia scored on a 10 yard run on the opening drive of the game.
Cody Monsen, playing linebacker, snatched a 40-yard interception to set up the next scoring drive in the third quarter.
Monsen then switched roles to play quarterback

and complete a 30 yard TD pass to Harrison Broadhurst who made a fingertip catch to put the Maroon squad ahead, 14-0.
