Maxine Bienek

Our beloved Maxine Lucille (Jordan) Bienek peacefully passed away at home and into the hands of our Lord on March 21, 2013. She was urrounded by her family in Luling, Texas.

She was born at the Luling Hospital in Luling on July 21, l929, to Max W. Troegel and Emma M. Ehler. Her mother later remarried and Maxine was adopted by Blunt Jordan of Lockhart.

hool in Prairie Lea, San Marcos, and graduated from Lockhart High School in 1947. After graduation from high school, she attended Nixon-Clay College in Austin, Texas.  She was employed by the State Comptroller”s Office and lived in Lockhart, where she married Felix D. Bienek on June 25, l949, in the Corpus Christi Cathedral in Corpus Christi, Texas.  They lived in Lockhart until 1959, when a job transferred them to Luling, Texas.

From this union three sons were born: Ray, Daniel and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a beloved Aunt Alma.

She is survived by her husband, Felix; her three sons: Ray and his wife, Shaary, Daniel, and Michael and his wife, Donna; five grandchildren: Anthony, Elizabeth, Kristen, Aaron and his wife, Jennifer, and Alan and his wife, Tara; and six great-grandchildren.

Private family viewing held Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 5 p.m, at O”Bannon Funeral Home in Luling, Texas. Holy Rosary celebrating the life of Maxine was held following family viewing at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, March 25 at St John”s Catholic Church, Luling, Texas. Afterward, she was laid to rest In Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery at Polonia, Texas.

Maxine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. When she was able, she enjoyed the company of her family, especially family dinners during the holidays. Her family and friends will greatly miss her smile and pleasant demeanor.

She also loved to care for her pets: Muffin, her puppy, Purdy, her cat and Oreo, her son”s little chihuahua. She loved little animals and was a kind and helping person. She enjoyed her work in her early life as a Gray Lady at Warm Springs in Ottine, Texas. She also enjoyed the many

weekends she and her husband spent in Rockport and Port Aransas.
