Olga Flores Piña
In Loving Memory of Olga Flores Piña
Olga Flores Piña, 82, of Lockhart, Texas, departed from this life to be with her Lord on February 21, 2024. Born to Ramon and Francisca Flores on June 6, 1941, in Gregory, Texas, Olga brought light and warmth to all who knew her.
Her daughter Juanita Cervantes fondly remembers Olga as a person who deeply cherished her faith and devoted herself to serving in the ministry. A loving matriarch, Olga adored her children, and grandchildren, finding boundless joy in their presence. She found solace and contentment in nurturing her plants and tending to her yard, as well as in the artistry of sewing. A devout Christian, Olga embraced Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and worshipped at Lakewood under the ministry of John and Dotie Osteen for many years.
Reflecting on Olga’s life, her family hopes that she is remembered as the vibrant and spirited individual she was, with her laughter and love for family and friends serving as her enduring legacy.
Olga is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Francisca Flores, and her sister, Genoveva F. Landa. She leaves behind a cherished legacy as a beloved mother to Juanita (Adolph) Cervantes, Hector Piña Jr., and Matthew (Megan) Piña. Olga was the heartbeat of her family, her nurturing spirit extending to her grandchildren: Lori Noriega, Paul Cervantes, Courtney Piña, Grace Piña, Chelsea Piña, Kati Piña, and Rollin Piña, Maya Yanez, David Morales, Jonah Noriega, as well as her great-grandchildren: Rylan Cervantes and Victoria Moctezuma.
Visitation for Ms. Flores Piña will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at DeLeon Funeral Home. In her parting words to those attending her service, Olga would wish to convey her desire to be remembered as a loving, caring, and passionate soul who cherished every moment spent with her beloved family and friends, and her desire to serve the Lord.
May Olga Flores Piña rest in eternal peace, her memory cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
