Investigators seek community assistance in
locating fifth suspect

Four suspects have been arrested and one remains at large in connection with an aggravated sexual assault that took place in Reedville in early April.

Caldwell County Sheriff Daniel Law announced last week that an ongoing investigation into a sexual assault that occurred at the Pecan Planta

tion subdivision in Reedville on April 5 resulted in four arrests and the search for a fifth suspect.

Law said a 15-year-old from San Marcos reported she had been sexually assaulted by a group of male suspects after going to the residence to spend time with friends. She said a male friend picked her up and took her to the home and later in the evening, several males forcibly removed her clothing and repeatedly assaulted her.

While investigating the report, detectives were able to identify five suspects, each of whom were charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault. The suspects who have been arrested are:

Everett Rainey, 17, of Maxwell;
Pedro Javier Quintero, 18, of San Marcos;
Johnny Lozano, III, 17, of San Marcos; and
Joshua Lamar Jackson, 17, of Austin.

Each of the four are being held in the Caldwell County Jail with bond set at $75,000.

The fifth suspect, identified as Angel Rene Miranda, 17, of San Marcos, remains at large. He is described as a Hispanic male, around 5’10” and weighing 140 pounds. He is believed to be in San Marcos or elsewhere in Hays County.

Anyone with information about Miranda’s whereabouts or other details leading to his arrest are encouraged to contact the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department at (512) 398-6777.
