Pablo Vasquez
Pablo Vasquez, our beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather of San Marcos went peacefully to his eternal rest to be with our Heavenly Father on Jan. 31, 2006 at the age of 80 years. He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Joe Garcia and Rosemary Garcia. Pablo honored his family and country by serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Victoria L. Vasquez of San Marcos; daughters Delia Flores, Pauline Botello and husband Fidel, all of San Marcos, and Rosa Lopez of Austin; sons Paul Vasquez, Jr., Frand Vasquez and wife Viola, Ramon Garcia and wife Gloria, Victor Garcia and wife Petra, David Garza and wife Maria, and Michael Contreras, all of San Marcos, and Al Garza and wife Janie of Lockhart; brother Charlie Vasquez of San Marcos; sisters Sandy Vasquez and Janie Vasquez of San Marcos; 34 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of rosary was at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 at Los Angeles Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial was on Friday morning, Feb. 3 at 10 a.m. at St. John”s Catholic Church, with Rev. Enrique Diaz officiating. Burial followed at the San Juan Cemetery in Reedville.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were James Garza, Henry Leal, Adrian Botello, Frank Vasquez, Jr., Michael Contreras and Luis Longoria.
