Paul A. Hanson

Paul A. Hanson, 60, of Cedar Park, a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, died on Feb. 12, 2009. Paul died peacefully with his loving and devoted wife, Barbara, at his side.

Paul was born on Feb. 8, 1949, in Modesto, Calif., to Bert and Velma Hanson. He grew up in Lockhart and graduated from Lockhart High School in 1967. He had a distinguished and enjoyable car

eer as a master carpenter, remodeler and most recently as an industrial/residential site superintendent.

Paul was a devoted family man as well as a genuinely loyal, deeply respected and truly loved friend. Paul cherished many long lasting friendships throughout his career. Paul also enjoyed spending time reading, watching motocross and studying the ancient art of boat building and the history of his Norwegian ancestors.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Barbara Hanson; daughter, Krista Hanson; stepson, Joshua Allcorn; daughter, Lauren Hanson; and many other dear friends and family members. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Millard and father, Bert Hanson.

The family would like to give special thanks to North Austin Medical Center for the extraordinary care given to Paul following his extremely rare and complex open-heart surgery.
