Pedro Hernandez

Pedro “Shorty” Hernandez passed away in Luling, Texas, on Nov. 6, 2011.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1942, in Luling, to Lorenzo Hernandez and Ojenina Lopez.

Mr. Hernandez married his wife, Consuelo “Connie” Hernandez on Nov. 23, 1963.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-mother, and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Hernandez, of Luling; his

daughter, Julia Gibson (Carl), of Gonzales; his sons, Jesse Hernandez, Danny Hernandez and Sammy (Christine) Hernandez, all of Luling; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at 10 a.m. at O”Bannon Funeral Home in Luling, with Father Howard Goertz officiating. Burial followed to Community Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Jerry Garcia, David Flores, George Jewell, Philip Grace, Andrew Grace and Josh Grace.
