Rachel Romero Herrera
On June 7, 1957 the world was blessed with a little girl named Raquel. Born to Rafael Romero and Maria Teresa Castillo, she was a beautiful girl and a protective sister to brothers Ricky, Ralph, Rocky, Ramiro, Roger, and her two sisters, Susie and Rosemary.
Rachel grew up to be a fascinating wife and mother who everybody loved and adored. She created two kids, Melissa and Fr
ankie, and showed them more love than could fill up ten lifetimes. She was married to, Nick Herrera, who fought along with her during the difficult times, always holding her hand.
Rachel”s gift in life was to make people feel safe, warm and loved. She was the rock in the family, and incredibly funny. Rachel always had her own way of making a joke and making somebody feel better in an instant. She was the glue that held everybody together even when she started to get sick.
Rachel put up a courageous fight for over eight years to be with her family and to see her kids and grandchildren, Alana, Jayden and Frankie grow up. If Rachel had to be summed up in one word it would be “love.” This brave and strong woman can now pick up her feet and relax after the fight she put up. Rachel loved her family so much, and her love will carry on forever.
