Refugia Gonzales

Mrs. Refugia Gonzales, 85, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on September 17, 2021. She entered this world on April 29, 1936 in Lockhart, Texas, born to Vicente Acosta and Reginia Ybarra.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Gonzales.

Refugia is survived by her son Andy Gonzales; daughter Dora Cardenas and husband Andrew Cardenas; daughter Ester Gonzales and husband Richard Holicky; daughter Rebecca Gonzales Silva and husband Thomas Silva; half-sister Chona A. Selestino; half-sister Maria Acosta; half-brother Jose Angel Acosta; 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Adrian Gonzales, Joe Cardenas, Thomas Silva, Richard Holicky, Frankie Tamiyo, and Diego Lopez

Honorary pallbearer is Micheal Verduzco.

Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2021 at DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
