Ronald White McCrary

September 11, 1942-July 6, 2025

   Ronald White McCrary passed away July 6, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born in Houston, Texas to Woodrow Wilson McCrary and Mary Allene McCrary on September 11,1942. He graduated from Lockhart High School, then went on to Southwest Texas State University, earning a degree in Accounting.
 He was married to Barbara Louise Reneau on June 29,1962 in Lockhart, Texas. They had just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary a week prior to his passing. Ron worked as a field audit group manager for the Internal Revenue Service and retired in1997, at the age of 54.      
 He is survived by wife, Barbara, his 3 children, Rodney McCrary, Lyndi Campbell, Kellye Hermance, son-in-law, Travis Thompson. His nine grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jeremy, and Jacob McCrary, Cayla Gustavus, Cade, Caleb, and Colton Campbell, and Torrin Thompson, and his six great grandchildren, Lauren Lindsay, Bodi and Gus Gustavus, Brylee and Emilee McCrary, and Levi Campbell. He also leaves behind best friend, Osmand Ahmed and cousin Gary Franks. 
 He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Randy, aunt Lucille. 
 Visitation will be Saturday, July 12, at McCurdy Funeral Home from 11-3pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th, at McCurdy Funeral Home at 3pm following visitation. His remains will be returned to his family farm, of over 100 years, in which he enjoyed as a child and so dearly loved. He was a man of hard work, honesty and integrity and was passionate about his hay farm and gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
