Plum Creek Records & Tapes

Plum Creek Records & Tapes presents a screening of the classic silent western film “The Return of Draw Egan,” featuring the music of Ennio Morricone performed live by Montopolis on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Lockhart’s historic Gaslight-Baker Theatre. Named 2013’s Funniest Person in Austin, comedian Mac Blake and his partner Carlos LaRotta, have rewritten the movie in the irreverent and absurdist style typical of his work with Master Pancake Theater. It’s a hilarious and rowdy good time. Montopolis has previously brought their live soundtrack to the Gaslight-Baker with L’Inferno.

The doors open at 7 p.m., and the sow begins at 8 p.m. Reserved seating is $10.

About Montopolis:

Montopolis is an indie chamber music group from Austin, that performs the works of composer and pianist Justin Sherburn. Their music combines rock, electronic, and ambient compositions into modern classical arrangements with inventive instrumentation to create “stunning and transcendent” (Austin Chronicle) concerts. The group is known for its unique live scores to silent films.
