Sonia Pembroke Foster

Mrs. Sonia Paulette Pembroke Foster, 61, passed away peacefully at her home in Dale, Texas on Dec. 21, 2012. She was born in the village of Burgh Castle, England, to William Frank and Grace Willis Pembroke on March 3, 1951. Sonia worked as a cook in the Lockhart public school system for many years.

G. Coleman; daughters, Kerrie Burman and Katie Pembroke, and son, Keith Pembroke, all of the U.K.; sisters, Irene Hicks, Marion Matheson and Denise Pembroke; brothers, David Pembroke and Martin Pembroke; granddaughter, Shannon; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A visitation will be held from 5 – 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Eeds Funeral Home in Lockhart, with Sonia lying in state, beginning at 9 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Eeds Funeral Home, with burial following the Lockhart City Cemetery. Pastor Minnie Hewitt will officiate.
