Strong winds at Kite Day

Extreme wind gusts kept many from participating at Lions Legacy Athletic Academy’s Kite Day at Lockhart City Park on Saturday. Many vendors had their tables flipped, therefore heading home early. Also, many visitors simply took home their T-shirts and kites without attempting to fly kits in the strong winds. Many kites were broken as people tried to fight the wind. Still, many youngsters did get their kites high into he sky and enjoyed the day. This summer, Lions Legacy Athletic Academy will have a Field Day, likely at Lockhart Junior High.
