The Chisholm Trail Narcotics Task Force made a number of arrests in the Lockhart area last month, Caldwell County Sheriff Daniel Law announced last week. The arrests were the result of a two-month undercover investigation.
On Oct. 2, a Martindale woman and a San Marcos man were both arrested in Maxwell after selling meth
amphetamine to an undercover officer. A search of the woman”s home revealed additional methamphetamine, and further investigation led to the arrest of another San Marcos man.
On Oct. 27, two Lockhart residents were arrested by a task force detective after selling a controlled substance to the officer.
Both individuals had been documented selling controlled substances to undercover officers earlier in the investigation. On at least two occasions, the couple, both of whom were placed in the Caldwell County Jail, brought their toddler with them on drug deliveries.
According to Law, the investigation began with information supplied by the Martindale Police Department and was a multi-jurisdictional operation including the Chisholm Trail Narcotics Task Force, the Hays County Narcotics Task Force and the Martindale Police Department.
