Theresa (Riojas) Ybarra

Theresa (Riojas) Ybarra passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Theresa was born on July 24, 1934 in Lockhart to the late Consuelo Tamayo Riojas and Guadalupe Riojas. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her dear husband, Genaro Ybarra and her son Ronald Ybarra. 

She is survived by two sons, Terry Ybarra and his wife Celeste and Marty Ybarra and his wife Vicki; her daughter Jacqueline Franco and her husband Steve; her brother Herbert Riojas and his wife Mary; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm at McCurdy Funeral Home. Memorial Mass will be on Friday, December 5 at 10:00am at St. Mary of the Visitation Church, 205 E. Pecan St. Lockhart, TX 78644. Relatives and friends are invited.
