Therese Fish
Therese LaRock Fish, 63, of Lytton Springs, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Seton Hospital in Kyle, of advanced breast cancer.
Therese was born to Pearl and Thomas LaRock in Tucson, Ariz., on June 25, 1953. She graduated Burges High School in El Paso, and attended the University of Texas both in El Paso and Austin. It was while attending college in Austin that she fell in love
with the area and decided to stay, where later she met the love of her life and husband of 37 years, Jim Fish.
Therese loved the country life — gardening, animals, rocks, and all things natural. Therese was an accomplished artist, painting gourds, woodcarving, quilting and more.
Therese is preceded in death by her father Thomas LaRock.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Fish, of Lytton Springs; her mother, Pearl LaRock, of Lockhart; brother, Tom LaRock, of The Woodlands, Texas; sister, Carol Ramos, of El Paso, Texas; brother, Richard LaRock, of El Paso; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Therese will be cremated and her ashes spread on their property in Lytton Springs, “Rancho Mondo” that she so loved.
Therese would post pictures on Facebook of the many plants and creatures found on “Rancho Mondo” calling them “The wild things doing their wild thing.” As a memorial to Therese, it is suggested that those who knew and loved her, plant a tree or scatter some wild flower seeds; something that will brighten the world a little and give all the wild things a place. In lieu of flowers a donation to your local animal shelter is encouraged because of her love for all animals.
