Joe Franklin Bohac, of Skidmore, passed away on Dec. 7, 2016, just one day past his 88th birthday.
Mr. Bohac was born to James Frank and Thelma Fullen Bohac in Olmos, Texas, on Dec. 6, 1928. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, and married the love of his life, Alice Qualls, on July 4, 1951.
A retired mechanic, Mr. Bohac was a longtime member of the Fir

st United Methodist Church of Skidmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Alice Bohac; and his brother-in-law, Leon Qualls.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Bohach (Kay), of Lockhart, and Larry Bohac (Melissa), of Seguin; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Diane Albach, of Seguin, and Debbie Sanchez, of San Antonio, and brother-in-law, Chuck Qualls (Kay), of San Antonio.
The family accepted visitors from 6 – 8 p.m. at Galloway and Sons Funeral Home Chapel, in Beeville, Texas. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial following to the Beeville Memorial Park. Honored to serve as pallbearers were Joey Alvarez, Boyd Catching, Jr., James Bohac, Kody Bohac, James Cunningham and Steven Bohac.
