Tiburicio Vasquez

Mr. Tiburcio Vasquez, 80, beloved Husband, Brother, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and Father, was called to his eternal resting place on December 12, 2020. He entered this world on April 9, 1940 in San Marcos, Texas, born to Ezequiel and Rosario Vasquez.

Mr. Vasquez was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Mary Esther Vasquez.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Martina Vasquez; sister Guadalupe Vasquez; son Frank Sanchez and wife, Delia; daughter Lucy Cruz and husband, Gilbert; daughter Irene Sanchez; son Eloy Sanchez; 6 Grandchildren and 17 Great-grandchildren.

Mr. Vasquez was a proud member of the U.S. military, serving in both the Navy (serving over four years) and retiring from the National Guard after almost seventeen years of service. He also retired from the State of Texas Vital Records division.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 17, 2020 also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery with full military honors.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be John Sanchez, Isaac Hernandez, Isaac Estrada, Christian Cruz, Jacquelyn R. Nunez, and Candida Crystal Barrientez Martinez.
