Wilbur Lee Williams
Wilbur Lee Williams, 82, of Tilmon, Texas, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital in Luling. He was born on Sept. 4, 1924, in Lytton Springs, to Charles and Bennah (Alexander) Williams.
Lee served in the United States Army during World War II. He was married to Jean Hall on March 5, 1978, in Lockhart. He was a member of the McMahan Bapti
st Church.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bennah Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Williams of Tilmon; his sons, Kenny Mitchell of Tilmon and Bobby Earl Mitchell of Lockhart; his daughter, Debra Jean Wofford and her husband Alan of Jones Creek; his sister, Maurine Cocker and her husband Oran “Buba” Cocker of Lockhart; eight grandchildren, Kelly Mitchell of Lockhart, Jon Mitchell and his wife Kim of McNeil, Gayland Mitchell of Lockhart, Jessica Barker and her husband Rusty of Lockhart, Stoney Wimberly and his wife Shannon of Kyle, Austin Wimberly of Kyle, Casey Wofford and his wife Ashley of Clute and Courtni Wofford of Huntsville; six great-grandchildren, Kole and Skyler Mitchell of Bay City, Nicole and Jacob Barker of Lockhart, Cayden Wimberly of Kyle, and Jordon Mitchell of McNeil.
A memorial service to honor Lee will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at the McMahan Baptist Church with Bro. John Cox officiating.
Memorials may be made to the McMahan Baptist Church Building Fund.
