Wilma Kay Evans

Wilma Kay “Katie” Evans passed away on Friday May 22, 2009, after a heroic battle against ovarian cancer. She was born in Springfield, Ohio, to Anne Shoemaker and Leo Curlonis on April 29, 1952.

She is preceded death by her nephew, Michael Moeler; daughter, Amanda R. Evans; and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle, and Kenneth Rodgers; gr

anddaughters Kristyn and Megan Rodgers; and sister Anna, of San Marcos, Marsha, of Oregon, Nedra, of Ohio, and Jeanie, of California.

Since moving to Texas in 1985, she was employed at the Holiday Inn and Hobby Lobby in San Marcos. When not at work, she was enjoying every moment with her grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by all she knew.

A graveside service was held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at the Luling City Cemetery in Luling, Texas with Minister Bobby Osborn officiating.
