Ysabel Soliz

Ysabel Soliz, a radiant beacon of love, warmth, and resilience, was called to her eternal resting place on August 7, 2025, at the age of 72, surrounded by the cherished family who filled her life with joy. Born on January 4, 1953, in Lockhart, Texas, Ysabel was lovingly adopted and raised by Guillermo, Sr. and Amelia Carrizales, who nurtured her kind and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guillermo Carrizales, Sr. and Amelia Carrizales, her sister Emilia Rocha, and her brother Guillermo “Willie” Carrizales, Jr.
Ysabel’s life was a testament to the power of love and family. She poured her heart into raising her daughters, Amanda Soliz and Trisha Soliz, and shared a deep bond with her loving companion, Tommy P. Mendez, and her bonus daughter, Amanda “Mandi” Mendez Sterling. As a devoted grandmother, Ysabel’s face lit up with pride and delight for her grandchildren, Bryant Garcia, Hayden Garcia, Elye Garcia, and Manuel Garcia, who were the light of her life and the source of countless cherished memories.
Her laughter was contagious, her kindness boundless, and her strength an inspiration to all who knew her. Ysabel had a gift for making everyone feel loved and welcomed, whether through a warm smile, a shared story, or a moment of quiet understanding.
Pallbearers honored to carry Ysabel to her final resting place include Bryant Garcia, Hayden Garcia, Elye Garcia, Jay Ramirez, and Julian Ramirez, with Manuel Garcia serving as an honorary pallbearer.
A visitation for Ysabel will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at DeLeon Funeral Home in Lockhart, Texas, followed by her funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas.
