Zelma Tippie

Zelma Baccus Tippie, of San Marcos, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the age of 83. She was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Andice, Texas, to John and Mollie (Thomas) Baccus.

Her husband, Jessie Tippie, and her son, Harold Tippie, preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Howard and husband, David, and Karol Boggus and husband, Kennith; nine grandchildren

: Jess and Amy Tippie, Cody and Michele Howard, Brandon and Helen Tippie, Clint and Jamie Howard, Josh Boggus, Jeff Boggus, Charla Fehr, Dustin and Jennifer Fehr, and Ronnie and Merranda Jones; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family planned to receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home, from 6 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2011, at the Prairie Lea Baptist Church in Prairie Lea, Texas, with the Rev. Joel Densman officiating. Interment will follow at the Lockhart Municipal Burial Park.
