Judy Hill

Judy Gail McConnell Hill, of Lockhart, passed away peacefully on Nov. 14, 2015. Born on May 9, 1946, she was the daughter of Mary and Afton McConnell, also of Lockhart, whom preceded her death.

Judy is a graduate of Lockhart High School and Southwest Texas State University. She bravely went back to college as an older adult and received her degree in Nursing Home Administrat

ion in her early 50s. It is certainly understandable that Judy would choose a field of helping others.

She was a Christian, a longtime member of the First Lockhart Baptist Church where she continuously enjoyed the fellowship of worship. Judy had a love of sewing, crafting and painting. She was a Girl Scout Troop leader as well as volunteer in the school systems when needed.

She raised two daughters, Misty Hill Borchert, married to Louis Borchert, and Tammy Hill Wiley, married to Dwayne Wiley. Grandchildren include Caitlin and Cade Borchert. Judy is also survived by her sister, Peggy McConnell, of Lockhart.

The family requests that contributions in Judy”s memory be made to the American Stroke Association or to the First Lockhart Baptist Church.

Family planned to receive friends at McCurdy Funeral Home from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015. Funeral services were planned at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at the First Lockhart Baptist Church in Lockhart.
