Vicente Diaz

Vicente Diaz, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 29, 2010, in Lockhart, Texas. He was born on Jan. 22, 1938, to Silvestre and Juanita (Medrano) Diaz in Fentress, Texas.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Salome Diaz; sons, Michael and wife Rebecca Diaz, Mark Diaz both of Lockhart; daughter, Christine and husband Anastacio Cruz of Lockhart; broth

ers, Silvestre Diaz and Jesse Rodriguez; sisters: Clemencia Alvarado, Ramon Silguero, Mary Navarro and Janie Vargas; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Monday, May 31, 2010, from 6 – 9 p.m. with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. A Celebration of the Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lockhart, Texas.
