Billy Herman Alexander, 59, of Dale, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006, at Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos. He was born on June 15, 1947, in Dale, Texas, to Herman and Ruby (Witter) Alexander.
Billy was married to Ann Grimes on April 13, 1978 in Lockhart. He was the Road Administrator for Caldwell County. He was a Baptist.

is father, Herman Alexander, and by his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and J.D. Chapman.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Ann Alexander of Dale; his mother, Ruby Alexander of Dale; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, L.G. and Rosa Lee Grimes of Burleson; his aunts, Bernice Chambliss and her husband Roscoe, and Margaret Goode and her husband J.H., all of Lockhart; his sisters-in-law, Patsy Lynch of Fort Worth and Nancy Joost and her husband Roy of Montgomery; his nieces and nephews, Neil Chapman and his wife Sandra, and Chris Chapman and his wife Kim, all of Lockhart, Michael Lynch and his wife Stephanie of Fort Worth, Shane Lynch and his wife Meredith of Dallas, Chad Joost and his wife Denise of Houston, Brandon Joost and his wife Melissa of Katy, and Dustin Joost of Denton; his great nieces and nephews, Tara and Kayla Chapman, both of Bryan, and Hunter and Sydney Lynch of Fort Worth; his cousins, Ann Branyon, Cherrie Jo Witter, Sharon Williams, Joe Alexander, James Witter, Patti Lou Witter, Terry Chambliss and Herbert Alexander.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, in the McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Glenn Lynch officiating. Interment followed in Bunton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Barrington, Leland Cubit, George Hazelett, Danny Law, Gilbert McHaney, Bill Maul, Alan Mercer, and Daniel Vest. Honorary pallbearers were Lisa Riddle, Darla Law, County Commissioner Pct. 2 Charles Bullock, County Commissioner Pct. 4 Joe Rowland, County Commmissioner Pct. 1 Tom Bonn, County Commissioner Pct. 3 Neto Madrigal, Morris Alexander, Pete Schulze, Pete Strittmatter, Frank Schulle, Gerald Roberts, and the Caldwell County Unit Road employees.
For those who wish to make memorial donation, the Bill Alexander Memorial Fund has been opened at OmniBank, 118 W. Market Street in Lockhart.
