Belinda Carol Kaufman
Belinda, my wife, our mother and our friend, was born on June 4, 1954 in Austin, Texas and passed away on Jan. 26, 2007 at South Austin Hospital of medical complications.
Belinda is survived by her two dogs Odie and Duke; husband Warren W. Kaufman; two sons Matthew and Mark Pester, all of Lockhart; daughters Cheri” Kaufman of Gallatin, Tenn. and Rheanne and Kim Pester
of Lockhart; her mother Maurnez Wardlow of Lampasas; her sister and brother-in-law Sissy and J.W. Clark of Houston; her brother and sister-in-law Sonny and Lisa Wardlow of Blanco; her sister-in-law Zanna Wardlow of Lampasas and neices and nephews, Shane, Stephanie, Kevin, Billy and Aaron. She was preceded in death by her father Goldman Wardlow and oldest brother Skeeter Wardlow.
Belinda cherished her two dogs Odie and Duke. She enjoyed traveling the past few years with her husband, falling in love with Colorado. She enjoyed arts and crafts and her enormous collection of plants. Next to traveling with her husband, her love was watching her sons play hockey.
Belinda was a member of the First Christian Church in Lockhart and was a Cub Scout Leader for her boys. She was a constant supporter of the Pink Ribbon Campaign for Breast Cancer, being a survivor for more than 15 years.
Being a warrior for so many years, Belinda chose to live quietly and peacefully in their home just outside of Lockhart. Surrounded by her dogs and plants, she patiently waited for Warren to return home so she could do the things she loved most, cooking and taking care of him and her boys.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Lockhart at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2007.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 108 N. Medina, Lockhart, Texas or the First Christian Church of Lockhart, on Belinda”s behalf.
