Oneta J. Maynard

Oneta Maynard, 72, of Lockhart, Texas, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007 at Central Texas Medical Center. She was born on July 9, 1934, in McMahan, Texas to Bart H. and Ruby (Ellis) McGee.
Oneta was married to Wayne “Dowell” Maynard on March 13, 1954 in Austin, Texas.
She was a secretary for 28 years at Sears Roebuck. She was also an involved member of the McM

ahan”s Woman”s Club.
Oneta was preceded in death by her parents; and by her sister Annie Ray Henry.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dowell Maynard; two daughters, Stephanie Ponder and husband Kenneth of Plano, Texas, and Linda Crawford and husband Tim of Garland, Texas; and by her sister Ona Lea Anton of Lockhart; three grandchildren, Casey Crawford, Cody Crawford and Courtney Crawford.
Visitation was held on Friday, Feb. 16, 2007 at 6 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday Feb. 17, 2007 at McCurdy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jack Bolt officiating. Interment followed in the Jeffrey Cemetery. Pallbearers were Timothy W. Crawford, Raymond Henry, Cody Crawford, Frank Kotrla, James Tullous and Roger Ellis.
