Votes must be cast by March 19 to be counted in the second annual “Best of Caldwell County Readers’ Choice Poll.”
The annual poll sponsored by Garrett Publishing and the Lockhart Post-Register was designed to allow Caldwell County residents to make their opinions known about all things Caldwell County.
“I have spoken to a number of people who are taking t

heir voting seriously,” said Post-Register publisher Dana Garrett. “They say that they have been working on their ballots and thinking about their votes to make sure that they say everything they want to say.”
While he recognizes voters’ desire to take their time and review their choices carefully, he also reminds them that the deadlines are firm.
“Under the rules we set out, we aren’t going to be able to count ballots we receive after 5 p.m. on March 19,” he said.
Ballots can be returned to the Lockhart Post-Register office on or before March 19 to be included in the official tally.
Results of the 2007 Best of Caldwell County Readers Choice Poll will be announced in a special edition of the Lockhart Post-Register on Thursday, April 26 2007.
