Mary Helen Martinez

Mary Helen Martinez, 75, of Lockhart, died Sept. 10, 2017.

Mary was born on Aug. 12, 1942, in Lockhart to Leonardo Velasquez and Benita Capello.
She was united in marriage to Luis Martinez on Nov. 6, 1971, in Lockhart.
Mary enjoyed being with her family.  She was also a huge Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorn and San Antonio Spurs fan and she watched every game.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Joe Velasquez, Gilbert Velasquez, Ofelia Velasquez, Jesuscita Velasquez, Dora Velasquez and Corrina Yanez.
Mary is survived by her husband, Luis Martinez; daughter, Karen Ann Martinez; sister, Rosemary Mendez; brothers: Guadalupe Velasquez, Abel Velasquez and Tony Velasquez; grandchildren, Kelsey Rene Martinez and Ryan Luis Martinez; aunt, Hortencia Campos; special great-niece, Kaylee Marie Mendez; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Visitation will also be on Thursday, Sept. 14 at Eeds Funeral Home Chapel from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Sept. 15 at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
