Martin James “Jim” Barrett, Jr.

Martin James “Jim” Barrett, Jr. was born on September 1, 1937 to Martin J. Barrett, Sr. and Eleanor O. Kerwood in Brilliant, Ohio, passed away on December 31, 2017.
Enlisted in the Air Force in 1956 and served 21 years. He met and married Gwendlyn “Gwen” L. Collins in 1961. From their union they raised 3 sons, Jerry Wayne, Jeffrey Layne and James Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael John. Jim is survived by his wife of 56 years Gwen; sons, Jerry (Leslie), Jeff (Lisa) and Jimmy (Tracy); brother, Robert A. “Bob” Barrett; brother in law, Carl Collins; sister in law, June Shelton; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 4, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at McCurdy Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 pm, Saturday, January 5, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lockhart City Cemetery.
