Lockhart girls hoops team splits district games

It was a mixed bag this week for the Lady Lions, who grabbed a road win against Medina Valley before falling at home to Marble Falls.
The week brings the Lady Lions district record to 2-4.
At home against Marble Falls, the Mustangs outlasted the Lady Lions to take a 35-27 win.
Lockhart held a 10-9 lead after the first quarter, but Marble Falls pulled away, expanding their lead to 20-14 at halftime.
Kara Pickle scored 14 and Princess Daniels added 7 to pace the Lady Lions.
Against Medina Valley on the road, Daniels scored 24 points to lead Lockhart to a 50-39 win. The Lady Lions jumped out to a 15-6 lead that would hold up as Pickle scored 10 points and Sydney Shaw added another 13.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Lions fell 46-26 to Medina Valley on the road and 36-18 at home to Marble Falls.
