Vivian Marie Wilson Schorlemer
Vivian Marie Wilson Schorlemer died on May 3, 2007.
She was born in Lockhart to Oscar Bryan and Nina Wilson on April 6, 1932. She attended public school in Lockhart, but graduated from Bastrop High School in 1949 and attended Southwest Texas University before marrying Alvin Edwin Schorlemer, Jr. She has lived in San Antonio 42 years where she attended UTSA. Vivian was
preceded in death by her parents and Alvin Edwin Schorlemer, Jr.
She is survived by her sons Robert and wife Karen of Dallas; Richard and wife Livia of Austin; and Malcolm and wife, Karen, of San Antonio. She also leaves behind her brothers Dr. Oscar Bryan Wilson and wife Marion of Monterey, Calif., and Harold Wilson and wife Audrey of Lockhart; and sister Barbara Keahey and husband Jim of Austin.
Services will be held in San Antonio at the Castle Ridge Mortuary Chapel, with graveside services in Cuero at Memorial Gardens. Visitation was held Sunday, May 6, 2007 from 3 – 5 p.m. the Castle Ridge Mortuary. The funeral service was Monday, May 7, 2007 at 9 a.m. in the Castle Ridge Mortuary Chapel.
Vivian battled cancer bravely and will be remembered as a kind and gentle person. She was a gifted and skilled artist. She will live in the hearts of many that she has known through out her life. The family is genuinely grateful to Vitas Hospice for the wonderful care they provided. Memorial contributions may be made to Santa Rosa Children”s Cancer Research and Treatment Center Parents” Group, which was founded with Vivian”s help.
