Virginia Duran Martinez

On Friday, April 6, 2018, at 8:55 p.m. our beloved mother Virginia Duran Martinez, 76 of Lockhart passed away surrounded by her family at Seton Medical Center Hays, Kyle, Texas. She was born on December 17, 1941 in Martindale, Texas. She is survived by her two daughters, Lydia Juarez (Ernest), Lisa Martinez and one son, Marty Martinez (Bertha), eight grandchildren, Dana Salazar, Larry Salazar (Ashley), John Paul Juarez (Jesika), Bianca Castillo (Chris), Amanda Juarez, Gabby Martinez, James Martinez and Jonathan Martinez, and three great-grandchildren, Jayven Juarez, Pilar Salazar and Aiden Castillo.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Leandro Martinez, and two daughters, Rebeca and Nancy Martinez. Parents Raymundo and Juanita Duran, brothers Eusebio Duran, Cirilo Duran, and Margarito Duran.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home, with the recitation of the holy rosary being held at 7 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home. The mass of celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 14, 2018 at St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church with Father Ed Karasek officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Richard Recio, Emilio Hernandez III, David Duran, Eric Martinez, Marcus Martinez III, and Dean Sanchez.
