Wesley Earl Houston, Jr.
Mr. Wesley Earl Houston, Jr., 70, of Lockhart passed away peacefully at the Brackenridge Hospital in Austin on Oct. 10, 2007.
Wesley Earl Houston, Jr. was born in Houston on Aug. 26, 1937 to Ann Lockhart and Wesley Earl Houston, Sr. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1955 at the age of 17. He served his country overseas in time of war to include two tours of duty in Vietn
am. Wesley retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service.
As a veteran of foreign wars, he belonged to various VFW and American Legion posts. Wesley is survived by his sister, Dolores Radcliff of Waelder; brother, John Houston of San Antonio; five children: Debbie Houston Lozier of Lady Lake, Fla., Wesley D. Houston of Rosanky, Barbara Houston Hanson of Cedar Park, Stephen Houston of Kennedy, and Michael Wesley Houston of Austin; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wesley was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Earl Houston, on April 8, 1961.
A viewing and visitation was held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007 at the Eeds Funeral Home Chapel where family and friends were in attendance. Graveside services with full military honors were held at the Delhi Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Friday Oct. 12, 2007 with the Air Force Honor Guard serving as pallbearers.
