Our deeply loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Roger Mark Taylor, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007. He was born Sept. 12, 1958 in Mission, Texas, to James and Dorothy Taylor.

He is survived by his wife Gayla Taylor, of Lockhart, whom he married on July 31, 1976. He is a

Roger was an active member of First Lockhart Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, third and fourth grade Sunday School Teacher, member of the choir, and an instrumental part of the GROW outreach ministry. God worked through Roger in all of these ministries to touch many lives. He was employed by Conexant Systems Inc. where he worked as a Software Quality Assurance Manager. Because of his love of the outdoors, Roger was an avid gardener and photographer. He enjoyed traveling to Aggie sporting events and loved being a part of the spirit and tradition of Texas A&M. The sacrifice he made for his sons was evident in the countless hours he spent as their coach, mentor, and biggest supporter through all of their life’s endeavors. Most of all, his sons were proud to call him “Dad.”
