Consuelo Rodriguez Guerra

Consuelo Rodriguez Guerra, 95, of Lockhart, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Jan. 18, 2008 at the Chisolm Trail Nursing Home in Lockhart. She was born in Rome, Texas, on May 8, 1912, to Manuel and Daria (Naranjo) Rodriguez.
Consuelo was a member of St. Mary”s Catholic Church of Lockhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; h

usband, Pedro Guerra Sr.; sons, Manuel Guerra, Ponciano Guerra and Sabas Guerra; and daughters, Rosa Dominguez, and Anita Perez.
Consuelo is survived by her sons, Pedro Guerra, Jr., and wife, Elena, of Placedo, Lupe Guerra and wife, Oliva, of Moody, and Steve Guerra and wife, Margaret, of McGregor. She was blessed with 35 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons, Hector Dominguez, Armando Dominguez, Ernest Guerra, David Guerra, Pete Guerra, III, and Gregory Guerra.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary was at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at McCurdy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at St. Mary”s Catholic Church with Reverend Robert Becker officiating. Interment followed at St. Mary”s Catholic Cemetery in Lockhart.
