Zion Amadeaus Ramirez was born Oct. 13, 2005, at St. David”s Hospital, in Austin, Texas. He went to be with God on March 4, 2008, at the age of two years, four months, and 22 days, at Dell Children”s Medical Center, in Austin.
Baby Zion is survived by his mother, Moonbeam Martinez, and step-father Elias Rocha, of Dale, Texas, and father Mark Ramirez, of Austin, Texas.


He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Mitzi Santleben and Tarus Cephus of Dale, Alejandro Coronado, Jr., of Knippa, Texas, and David Martinez, of Houston; maternal great-grandparents, James and Alice Santleben, of Knippa, Texas, Alex Coronado Sr., of Uvalde, Texas, and Frances Gonzales of Katy, Texas; maternal great-great-grandparents; Gloria Coronado, of Uvalde, Texas, and Andrea Gonzales, of Houston; paternal grandparents; Adelita and Gary Miller, of Mountain City, Texas; and paternal great-grandmother; Cecilia Rodriguez, of Austin, Texas.
Zion is also survived by his godparents, Marisela Ortiz, of Knippa, Texas, and Thorin Coronado, of Dale; and his step-grandmothers, Luisa Rocha, of Taylor, Texas, and Patti Cephus, of Austin, Texas; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Serving as Pallbearers were Thorin Coronado, Hector Arroyo, Jacob Ramirez, Johnny Castillo and Zach Shockley. Honorary Pallbearers were Cheyenne Santleben, Rachel Niehaus, Christian Coronado, Cody Shockley, Brandy Santleben, LaRocha Franklin, Desirae Coronado, Aaron Santleben and Tiewanna Matthew.
A visitation was held at McCurdy Funeral Home, on Friday, March 07, 2008, at 6 p.m., and services were also held at McCurdy Funeral Home, on Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Jim Fox officiating. Graveside services were held in the Santleben Family Plot of the Sabinal Cemetery in Sabinal, Texas, with Rev. John Reagan officiating and music by Linda Reagan. Burial followed at that location.
