Jesse Yanes Gonzales
Jesse Yanes Gonzales, 65, of Prairie Lea, passed away on April 19, 2008. He was born on Oct. 28, 1942, to Francisco and Cresencia (Davila) Gonzales, in Fentress, Texas.
Jesse was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, in Martindale. He was united in matrimony with his wife Nora, of Prairie Lea, on April 10, 1963, and they shared 45 years together.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers David Gonzales, Francisco Gonzales and Joe Gonzales.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Nora; sons, Jesse Jr., and wife, Margie, of Prairie Lea, Johnny, and wife, DeDe, of San Marcos, Rudy Joe, and wife, Belle, of Prairie Lea, Gilbert, of Prairie Lea, Rodney, and partner, Jake, of Austin; daughters, Nora Marie Butler, and husband, Billy, of Lockhart, Melinda Gonzales, and husband, Paul Tovar, of Austin, and Karen Espinoza, and husband, Dion, of Lockhart; brothers, Raul, of Fentress, Ynocencio, and wife Lydia, of Fentress; sisters, Juanita Barrientes, and husband, Arnulfo, of Fentress, Gloria Gonzales, and husband, Ruperto, of Lockhart, and Simona Rodriguez, and husband, Terry, of Fentress; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 7 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass in memory of Jesse Gonzales was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Victor Mayorga officiating. Interment followed at the San Juan Cemetery, in Prairie Lea.
