Letters – Resident praises football players, coaches

To the Editor:
Last Friday I was in a local fast food restaurant during lunch time and noticed three young high school-age men sitting at a table. These young men were wearing jeans, long sleeved white shirts and maroon ties.
I couldn’t help but notice how nice they looked and wondered what special event they were dressed for so I approached their table and ask

ed. They informed me that they were high school football players and that this was their required dress on football game days.
I didn’t hesitate to tell them how nice they all looked.
I don’t know if this requirement was made by their football coach or the athletic director but my congratulation and thanks to whoever is responsible. It was nice to see our young people looking so distinguished!
