Leonardo Capelo

Leonardo Capelo, 65, of Waelder, died Sunday, Jan. 2.
He was born July 14, 1939, in Luling, to the late Santos and Alicia Chapa Capello. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a laborer, a member of the American Legion in Flatonia and Moulton; and member of St. Patrick”s Catholic Church.
Survivors: wife, Helen Orosco Capello; and brothers, Santos Capello Jr. of Lulin

g, Henery Capello, Joe Capello, and Carlos Capello, all of Lockhart.
Preceded in death by: brother, Arthur Capello.
A rosary was recited 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 3 at Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at St. Patrick”s Catholic Church in Waelder, the Rev. Martin Leopold officiating.
Burial was held at at Waelder Community Cemetery, Smith Funeral Home, Flatonia, 361-865-3311.
Pallbearers: Michael Capello, Joey Capello, Steve Capello, Tony Capello, Arthur Capello Jr., Andrew Capello.
