Nieves G. Garcia

Mrs. Nieves G. Garcia, 87, of Lockhart, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009. She was born on Aug. 5, 1921.

Mrs. Garcia is survived by her daughters, Salome Diaz, Elpidia Beltran and Sylvia A. Castillo; sons, Jesse Garcia, Jr., Roy Garcia, Louis A. “Tony” Garcia and Ambrose Garcia; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as three step-great-gran

dchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

Recitation of the rosary was at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2009, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009, also at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were John Paul Garcia, Michael Diaz, Joe Beltran, Jr., Joshua M. Garcia, Adam Garcia and Daniel Castillo. Honorary pallbearer was Geneva Garcia.
