Essie McElwrath

Mrs. Essie Elizabeth McElwrath, 89, passed away peacefully in Lockhart on Sept. 6, 2009. She was born in Corsicana, Texas to William E. and Mary A. Conner Slaughter on Jan. 20, 1920.

Essie attended the First United Methodist Church in Corsicana, Texas.
She is survived by her three children: David W. McElwrath and his wife, Penny, of Baytown, Texas; Gail Doran a

nd her husband, Ken, of Lockhart; and William “Bill” McElwrath and his wife, Sandra, of San Antonio; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
