Martinez addresses Evening Lions

Bertha Martinez, Director of Library Services for the Dr. Eugene Clark Library, spoke to Lockhart Evening Lions Cub about the many resources at the library available to anyone with a Eugene Clark Library Card. Martinez also spoke of partnering with Lockhart Evening Lions Club in several of the library projects. Also, the Lockhart Evening Lions Club will be collecting used eyeglasses at all Lion Varsity Football Home Games. The Lions Clubs International has eyeglass recycling centers all over the world where volunteers sort the collected eyeglasses and place them in inventory for distribution through optical missions all over the world. The usable eyeglasses are taken to optical missions where eye care professionals and trained Lion volunteers perform vision screenings and dispense the appropriate recycled eyeglasses free of charge to children and adults in need.
