Rachel and Christopher Anzaldua

Rachel Anzaldua, 44, and Christopher “Pa” Felix Anzaldua, 9, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away July 23, 2010.

Rachel Anzaldua, was born on Nov. 18, 1964 in Gonzales, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Salazar. She was preceded in death by her father; her son, Christopher Anzaldua; and a brother, Rocky Salazar.

Rachel was a loving mother full of life who brought laught

er to all.

She is survived by: husband Christopher Anzaldua, of Bastrop; mother, Hope Salazar, of Gonzales; son, Ronnie Flores, Jr., of Bastrop; two daughters, Ronnette Meraz and Relicia Flores, both of Elgin; one brother, Joe Daniel Salazar, of New Iberia, La.; two sisters, Jo Ann Martinez and Charlotte Castro, both of Gonzales; and four grandchildren: Taylor Rae Ledbetter, Ryan Joseph, Lauren Renae-Ann Meraz and Kaelyn Michelle Flores.

Christopher “Pa” Felix Anzaldua, was born on Dec. 18, 2000, in Smithville, Texas, to Christopher and Rachel Anzaldua.

He was a wonderful son and brother. He loved music and he loved to sing. “Pa” enjoyed fishing and days he spent going to work with his dad.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rachel; his uncle, Rocky Salazar; his grandfather, Felix Anzaldua; and grandfather, Joe Salazar.

“Pa” is survived by his father, Christopher; brother, Ronnie Flores, Jr., of Bastrop; two sisters, Relicia Flores and Ronnette Meraz, both of Elgin TX; three nieces and one nephew.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 3 p.m. at the Buffington Funeral Home Chapel, in Gonzales.
