Luisa Selestino Saldana

Luisa Selestino Saldana was born on April 1, 1936, in las Jimenez Jalisco, Mexico, to Jose Saldana and Luisa Gonzales, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Irene Garcia.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Ramon Mendez Selestino; seven children: Carlos Jirano, of Austin, Antonio Jirano, of Anaheim, Ca., Jose Jirano Selestino, o

f Austin, Raymond Selestino, of Austin, and Maria Jirano, Patricia Peralez and Guadalupe Selestino, all of Lockhart; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Guadalupe Jimenez, Yolanda Villalpando and Clementina Saldana, all of Lockhart, and Maybol Saldana, of Guadalajara, Mexico; and brothers, Luis Saldana, of Lockhart, and Colberto Saldana, of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to Hospice Austin Christopher House or Alzheimer’s Association.

Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at DeLeon Funeral Home. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with burial following in Cementerio Historico Navarro.
